The story follows a group of four 17-year-old teenagers living in the town of O'Grady as they navigate both supernatural and everyday high school challenges in each episode. Set in the fictional town of O'Grady, the series centers around the mysterious force called "The Weirdness" that intermittently causes strange effects on the residents, lasting for several days. The Weirdness can manifest in different ways, such as causing people to project their private thoughts in bubbles over their heads, or creating clones of themselves when they get angry. The main characters, Kevin, Abby, Harold, and Beth, are students at O'Grady High who experience the effects of The Weirdness firsthand. The first eight episodes of the show feature cold openings with Kevin and Abby interviewing at Eets-A-Pizza, where they speculate that The Weirdness is caused by a "secret government program", but their interviews stop after "Cop 'Stache". The show offers a blend of supernatural and comedic elements, providing an entertaining and unique take on high school life in O'Grady.
