Apu Nahasapeemapetilon outfit

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon is depicted wearing his traditional work attire that viewers of the animated series would instantly recognize. He dons a short-sleeved, light lime green cardigan with lighter edge detailing, over a black button-up shirt. The cardigan is left casually unbuttoned, showing the shirt and a hint of his chest underneath. Coordinating with the jacket, he wears a pair of simple, cream-colored trousers that fall straight down to his black shoes, which have a slight shine to them, indicating they're well-polished. His attire, while modest, certainly reflects Apu's role as a hardworking shopkeeper, comfortable yet presentable for daily interactions with his customers.

About Apu Nahasapeemapetilon

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon is a well-known character on The Simpsons, a popular animated series. He operates the Kwik-E-Mart, a beloved convenience store in Springfield, and is known for his catchphrase "Thank you, come again". Apu is voiced by Hank Azaria and first appeared in the episode "The Telltale Head". He was named in honor of the protagonist of The Apu Trilogy by Satyajit Ray. In 2017, a documentary called The Problem with Apu, created by comedian Hari Kondabolu, criticized the character for perpetuating South Asian stereotypes. In response, Azaria announced in 2020 that he was stepping down as the voice of Apu. His final time voicing the character was in 2017, and Apu has since appeared mostly as a background character. Apu started working at the Kwik-E-Mart to pay off his student loans during graduate school, finding joy in his job and the friends he made. However, he remained an illegal immigrant until a law proposed by Mayor Quimby threatened to expel all undocumented aliens. Apu initially tried to use a forged birth certificate to claim American citizenship, but ultimately chose to embrace his roots and successfully passed his citizenship test with help from the Simpsons. He now refers to himself as a "semi-legal alien".
