The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy is an animated TV show on Cartoon Network created by Maxwell Atoms. The show follows Billy, a dimwitted and cheerful boy, and Mandy, a grumpy and cynical girl, who gain the Grim Reaper, Grim, as their "best friend forever" after winning a limbo game to save Billy's pet hamster. Grim has supernatural powers and often leads the children to interact with otherworldly situations and characters. The show focuses on the experiences of Billy, Mandy, and Grim. Initially, after being forced into a friendship with the children, Grim is miserable and even thinks about killing them.
