Donny outfit
Donny appears focused and casually dressed in a typical 90s style. He's wearing a green, short-sleeved bowling shirt, which is a staple for bowling enthusiasts and has a relaxed, laid-back look. The shirt is buttoned up nearly to the top and features a small bowling pin logo on the left chest area, giving it an authentic touch fitting for the setting. The color of the shirt is a muted green, which resonates with the casual, sporty vibe of a bowling alley. His hair is neatly combed back, and his expression is one of concentration, likely reflecting the importance of the moment in his bowling game. He holds a shiny, caramel-toned bowling ball in preparation for his next throw, completing the image of a focused player ready to roll a strike. Donny's attire reflects a practical choice for the leisure activity he is engaged in.
About Donny
Donny, also known as Theodore Donald Kerabatsos, is a close friend of the main characters The Dude and Walter in the movie. Despite being an avid bowler, Donny frequently annoys Walter with his constant chatter, leading to the famous line "Shut the fuck up Donny!". When Donny dies of a heart attack, The Dude and Walter learn that they didn't know much about him. At his funeral, they mistakenly assume that Donny wanted his ashes spread at the beach, but they never make it there. In the movie, Donny is shown wearing different second-hand bowling shirts and it has been revealed that the character was written with few lines as a departure from the Coen brothers' pattern of creating talkative roles for Steve Buscemi. This is further shown in scenes where Walter constantly tells Donny to be quiet. When Donny hears The Dude mention Vladimir Lenin, he mistakenly thinks he is talking about John Lennon and starts quoting The Beatles' "I Am The Walrus". However, Walter is quick to correct him and tells him to "shut the fuck up, Donny," as he frequently does throughout the film.
