Randy's wife, Dr. Lucille "Lucy" Kojo-Carmichael, is a multi-talented mother of four and a Harvard-educated wonder mom. As Didi's primary physician, she even delivered Dil at birth. Lucy takes great pride in her cooking, believing it played a role in Randy's job promotion, and makes an effort to be supportive of her eldest daughter, Alyssa, in order to prove her maturity. However, Lucy and Randy are not indulgent parents, as they prioritize discipline and teaching their children how to behave. In one instance, Lucy is seen insisting to Susie that crying will not get her what she wants. Like Charlotte, Lucy works hard but always strives to be there for her children, unlike Charlotte's husband Drew.
