Kaisa, also known as The Librarian, is a character in the Hilda TV series who first appears in "Chapter 6: The Nightmare Spirit". She is not featured in the graphic novels and is exclusive to the animated series and the novelization. Her name is not revealed until the Season 2 episode "Chapter 3: The Witch", where it is also revealed that she is a witch. The character is often calm, but can be strict with rules. In "Chapter 8: The Tide Mice", she confronts Hilda when she discovers the library's secret chamber, and in "Chapter 3: The Witch" she feels annoyed and embarrassed when Hilda and Frida find out about the Witches Tower. Kaisa has the ability to always know which book people are looking for, and has memorized the entire layout of St. Guglows Cemetery. Despite her duties, she is shown to be a kind person content with offering information, advice, or a task to handle, with a little sense of humor. She also has some feelings of insecurity about her abilities as a witch, but these are later dispelled with help from Hilda and Frida.
