About The Marra
David's Marra is the first Marra seen in the animated series and makes her debut in "Chapter 6: The Nightmare Spirit". She does not appear in any of the graphic novels but was created specifically for the animated series. However, she does appear in the novelization. In her debut episode, "The Nightmare Spirit", David is plagued by nightmares all week, and blames Hilda and her adventurous spirit. It was easy for Marra to scare David, as he is afraid of everything. Hilda, on the other hand, sees Marra as a perfect example of a mysterious girl with surprising traits. The real culprit for David's nightmares is revealed later in the episode, when Hilda shares her fear of riding a bike and encounters the Rat King.
