About Nancy Gribble
Nancy Hicks-Gribble, voiced by Ashley Gardner, is Dale's wife and the mother of Joseph. At 40 years old, she works as a weather-girl-turned-anchor for Channel 84, a local news station. Despite her past affair with John Redcorn, Nancy ultimately becomes a faithful wife to Dale, and John Redcorn refuses to come back to her out of respect for Dale. Although generally nice, Nancy is revealed to be ambitious, competitive, and backstabbing when left to her own devices. However, looking after Dale keeps her too busy to engage in such behavior. She credits Dale with helping her become a likable person with friends, feeling that she needs him more than he needs her. Nancy's appearance and hair are important to her, showing a sense of vanity. After experiencing stress-induced hair loss, she decides to be faithful to Dale and wear a wig. Nancy's mother also reveals her own history of hair loss due to a love affair, which led Nancy to assume the only cure for her hair loss was to continue the affair.
