Agent Jeff Trigger[2] and his partner Agent Powers are government operatives who are investigating paranormal activity in Gravity Falls, Oregon. In the episode "Scary-oke," they arrive at the Mystery Shack to look into mysterious occurrences and begin inspecting the gift shop. Powers confides in Dipper about their ongoing investigation of a paranormal case in the town, sparking Dipper's interest in helping with their research. However, Stan interrupts and dismisses the agents' claims, insisting that the town's paranormal aspects are merely legends. During their visit, Trigger is attacked by zombies. Later that night, Dipper steals a business card from Stan and meets with Powers and Trigger in the woods, revealing Journal 3 to them. Despite initially being unimpressed, the agents change their minds when a zombie attacks them. They manage to survive an encounter with hundreds more zombies emerging from the earth, eventually leading Powers to suggest bringing in additional support, even though Trigger is skeptical that the government will believe their experiences with the supernatural.
