About Jesus Alzamirano 'Soos' Ramirez

Jesus "Soos" Ramirez is a 22-year-old Hispanic man who works as a handyman at the Mystery Shack and is friends with Dipper and Mabel. He is often described as a clumsy and adventurous man-child with various talents such as engineering, DJing, and pinball. He enjoys doing "boy stuff" with Dipper and his birthday is revealed to be July 13. Soos ultimately becomes the new Mr. Mystery of the Mystery Shack after Ford and Stan leave Gravity Falls. He also enters into a long-distance relationship with Melody, who becomes the new cashier at the Mystery Shack. Soos is voiced by Alex Hirsch and is based on Hirsch's friend Jesus Chambrot, an animator he knew at CalArts. Hirsch emulates Jesus' way of speaking through Soos' voice, which is described as "blunt-like consonance". Additionally, it is revealed that Soos did not have a good father-son relationship with his dad, and also had a dating sim girlfriend named GIFfany before entering into a relationship with Melody.
