Stanford Filbrick 'Ford' Pines outfit
Stanford Filbrick 'Ford' Pines is depicted in an outfit that seems well-suited for a blend of academic pursuits and outdoor adventuring. His attire consists of large glasses with black top rims, and a long, light-tan trench coat that appears to be worn and rugged, hinting at the many expeditions he might have undertaken. Beneath the coat, he wears a red turtleneck sweater that complements the rest of his ensemble, providing warmth and a casual formality. His dark brown trousers are simple and functional, tucked into a pair of high, brown boots that look ready to tackle a variety of terrains, and a leather or canvas messenger bag to carry his equipment with him. Though not part of his outfit, his six-fingered hands are an immediate indicator of some distinction. Ford's choice of clothing suggests a character who is prepared for research and discovery, while still being ready to face the unexpected challenges of the great outdoors.
About Stanford Filbrick 'Ford' Pines
Ford Pines, also known as The Author and Grunkle Ford, is the six-fingered long-lost twin brother of Stan and the author of the journals. He was transported to an alternate dimension in 1982 through a portal under the Mystery Shack and was stranded there until Mabel reopened the portal. In "The Last Mabelcorn," Ford recounts his friendship with Bill Cipher and how he attempted to create a teleporter to enter his realm. When learning of Bill's plan to invade the mainstream dimension, Ford destroys the teleporter, but at the cost of a dimensional rift leaking out, which he contains. However, Bill tricks Mabel into releasing the rift, causing Weirdmageddon. In "Weirdmageddon Part 1," Ford attempts to defeat Bill, but is captured, petrified, and the journals are destroyed. He is later freed and restored to normal, and offers Stan to go sailing around the world with him to find remaining anomalies, which Stan accepts.
